Baseball Recap: LaVille Triumphs

LaVille hadn't done well against Bremen recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Lancers came out on top against the Lions by a score of 7-3. This was a revenge game for the Lancers: when they faced off against the Lions last Friday, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Collin Czarnecki spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Karson Quinn, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Braedyn Foster was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

The win got LaVille back to even at 8-8. As for Bremen, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.

Coming up, LaVille will take on Culver Academies at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season. As for Bremen, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 0-0 tie against Washington Township on the 10th.
