Shadow Ridge took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Desert Oasis, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Mustangs won by a set and slipped past the Diamondbacks 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Kimber Morrow paced Shadow Ridge's offense, picking up 11 kills. Morrow got some help from Lea Scott and her 15 assists. Scott was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Despite the defeat, Desert Oasis had strong showings from MacKenzie Dalton, who had eight digs and four assists, and Riana Morales Imura, who had six digs and four assists.

Shadow Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Desert Oasis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Shadow Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Green Valley on the 16th. As for Desert Oasis, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Sierra Vista on the 16th.
