Soccer Game Preview: Escalon vs. Sonora

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Escalon take on the Sonora at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday... Escalon's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Escalon is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Orestimba on Friday. Escalon fell just short of Orestimba by a score of 2-1.

Escalon's goal came courtesy of Co Northcutt, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, Sonora came up short against Ripon Christian on Friday and fell 5-3. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sonora's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Escalon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9-4.
