Washington Academy won against Foxcroft Academy on Friday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Raiders beat the Sumner Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Bella Cirone was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than 11 strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Lily Hennessey was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Rachel Keeton also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
