Softball Recap: Fort Vancouver's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

While Fort Vancouver's victory against King's Way Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trappers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Knights on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trappers have posted since March 22nd.

Fort Vancouver's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-10. As for King's Way Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Vancouver will venture away from home to square off against Evergreen at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Trappers are facing the Plainsmen at the right time seeing as the Plainsmen are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for King's Way Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Tenino at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights will also cruise into their next matchup with the timing on their side: the Beavers will have lost 14 straight heading into Monday's game.
