Softball Recap: Clermont Northeastern Takes a Loss

Clermont Northeastern blew Blanchester out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Blanchester got their revenge. The Rockets fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rockets have suffered since March 22nd.

Clermont Northeastern saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jenna Brown, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple. That home run marked the first that Brown launched this season.

Clermont Northeastern has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Blanchester, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clermont Northeastern will square off against Fayetteville-Perry at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Blanchester, they will face off against Bethel-Tate at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
