Volleyball Recap: South Elgin Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

South Elgin came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Genoa-Kingston Cogs by a score of 2-0. The Storm were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Cogs, so the Storm were just returning the favor.

Leading South Elgin to victory were Julia Pachuta and Ava Ritchie. Pachuta had ten digs and one assist, while Ritchie had three aces. Those three aces gave Ritchie a new career-high.

South Elgin's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Genoa-Kingston, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Coincidentally, South Elgin and Genoa-Kingston will both be playing Woodstock North the next time they take the court. The Cogs will head out to face the Thunder at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Storm will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
