Football Game Preview: Franklin Indians vs. Woodlawn Warriors

Franklin has gone a perfect 9-0 against Woodlawn recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Franklin will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Friday, Franklin was able to grind out a solid victory over Owings Mills, taking the game 14-6.

Among those leading the charge was James Joseph, who rushed for 54 yards and two touchdowns.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Franklin's defense and their six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Ryan Hartman and Jaidon Williams, who racked up four sacks between them. Williams is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Another thorn in Owings Mills' side was Chideziri Duru, who made ten total tackles and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Meanwhile, Woodlawn played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 33-6 loss at the hands of Randallstown.

Woodlawn now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Everything came up roses for Franklin against Woodlawn when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 55-0 victory. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
