After a string of three wins, Edison's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost 11-4 to the Georgetown Visitation Prep Cubs.

Natalie Genberg was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Gabby Wilson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Georgetown Visitation Prep, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Edison will head out to square off against Lewis at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Georgetown Visitation Prep, they will square off against National Cathedral at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Georgetown Visitation Prep's pitchers better be ready for this one: National Cathedral has averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season.
