Volleyball Recap: Logan Bornstein and Bethany Robinson Secure Win for Crescent City

Crescent City hadn't done well against Palatka recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Raiders walked away with a 3-1 win over the Panthers. Winning may never get old, but the Raiders sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Crescent City walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 17-25, 25-23, 25-17.

Crescent City was led to victory by Bethany Robinson and Logan Bornstein. Robinson had 13 digs and three aces, while Bornstein had 23 digs, seven kills, and four aces. Those 23 digs gave Bornstein a new career-high.

Despite the defeat, Palatka had strong showings from Anslee Wells, who had 30 digs and three aces, and Sofia Zimmerman, who had 19 assists and eight digs. Wells has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Crescent City's record now sits at 10-5. As for Palatka, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crescent City will venture away from home to challenge St. Joseph Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Palatka, they will head out to face off against Bishop Snyder at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
