Soccer Game Preview: Falls Church vs. West Springfield

The Falls Church Jaguars will venture away from home to challenge the West Springfield Spartans at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, Falls Church didn't have quite enough to beat Chantilly and fell 4-3. Falls Church have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, West Springfield made easy work of Edison on Thursday and carried off a 7-1 victory. That's two games straight that West Springfield have won by exactly six goals.

West Springfield has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those two matches. As for Falls Church, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Falls Church suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to West Springfield when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Falls Church avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
