League recap: Upland winning streak up to four games

Baseline league recap: 5/7/12

Upland (15-8, 7-6) has won four games in a row, Baseline's longest active win streak. The streak was extended by another 2 games over the past week, includinga 3-1 victory over Los Osos. Daniel Robertson led the lineup this week with four hits and five RBIs.

Behind a 2-0 record over the past week, the Highlanders/Scots made the biggest jump in the national rankings, all the way from 208 to 169.

Rancho Cucamonga still leads the league with just 121 base hits give up over the entire season, but Glendora gave up the fewest hits in the league over the past week (nine).

Alta Loma's Dustin Frailey led the league with six hits this week. He is ninth in the league with 24 hits this year, and has a .393 batting average.

Donovan Holmes was an RBI machine on May 1, 2012, as he knocked in four runs during Glendora's 4-3 win over Rancho Cucamonga.
