Recap: Chesterton Academy Saints vs. New Mexico School for the Deaf Roadrunners

The Chesterton Academy Saints's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 69-50 bruising from New Mexico School for the Deaf. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Chesterton Academy came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 146th, while New Mexico School for the Deaf is ranked 316th).

New Mexico School for the Deaf was led to victory by Tyler Todorovic and Adrien Ercolino. Todorovic scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Ercolino dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Ercolino is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Lopez - Gonzalez, who scored 12 points along with three steals.

Chesterton Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for New Mexico School for the Deaf, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Chesterton Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome Hozho Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 25th. As for New Mexico School for the Deaf, they will head out on the road to challenge Evangel Christian Academy/Oak Grove Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
