Softball Recap: Pisgah's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Pisgah was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Wesson last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dragons fell just short of the Puckett Wolves by a score of 6-5 on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 two weeks ago.

Pisgah saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa McMurtrey, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI and one double.

Pisgah's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-6. As for Puckett, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-6-1.

Looking ahead, Pisgah will take on Germantown at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mavericks have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Puckett, they will square off against Raleigh at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
