Calaveras had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They breezed past the Bret Harte Bullfrogs to the tune of 55-6. Considering the Red Hawks have won six contests by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Calaveras to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryan Clifton, who rushed for 104 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. Another rusher making a difference was Enrique Hernandez, who rushed for 98 yards and one TD on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Calaveras was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 361 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 234 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Calaveras, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Clifton, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Calaveras' win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Bret Harte, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Calaveras will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Le Grand at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Red Hawks will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.6 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bret Harte, they have already played their next contest, a 41-33 win against Delhi on the 7th.
