Basketball Recap: Eldon Takes a Loss

If Eldon was riding high fresh off their 64-32 takedown of Central last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The match between the Eldon Mustangs and the Southern Boone Eagles didn't end well, with the Eldon Mustangs falling 62-44. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 59-53.

Despite the defeat, Eldon saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kaydin Davis almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

Eldon's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Southern Boone, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-10.

Eldon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-50 victory against Cuba on the 30th. Southern Boone has also already played their next contest, a 59-52 win against Mexico on the 29th.
