Carolina Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 53-51 win over the Conway Christian Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 50-36 on January 14th.

Dalton Droll and Miles Crawford certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Droll went 5 of 9 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds, while Crawford posted 17 points. That's the most points Droll has posted since back in January of 2024. Will Kunkle was another key player, putting up four points.

Carolina Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Conway Christian, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carolina Academy has already played their next matchup (against Pee Dee Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Conway Christian will take on Lee Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
