Baseball Recap: White River Has No Trouble Against Kent-Meridian

White River never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Kent-Meridian Royals. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Landon Hill made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hill was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

In other batting news, Jackson Rock was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Caleb Dale, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with four RBI and one triple.

White River always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kent-Meridian only posted an OBP of .176.

White River's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-9. As for Kent-Meridian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

White River will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Royals: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
