Basketball Recap: Biloxi's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Biloxi posted their closest victory since January 14th on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-47 win over the Brandon Bulldogs. The victory was just business as usual for the Indians, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Biloxi's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kentrell Beasley, who posted 15 points in addition to eight assists and three steals. Beasley is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carnellous Lenard, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Biloxi was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brandon only posted eight.

Brandon lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cameron Woods, who shot 71% from the field on his way to 11 points and five rebounds. Kaleb Melvin was another key player, going 6-for-7 to rack up 13 points.

Biloxi's record now sits at 3-0. As for Brandon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Biloxi has already played their next game (against Taylorsville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Brandon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-49 loss against Pascagoula on the 22nd.
