John Marshall and Moorhead squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but John Marshall had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Spuds by a score of 76-73. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rockets have suffered since December 12, 2024.

John Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 28-7. As for Moorhead, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season.
