Sabetha had to endure a seven-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the St. Marys Bears on Tuesday, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bluejays have posted against the Bears since October 2, 2021.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Sabetha who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-18, 26-28, 25-18.

Sabetha's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-11 and their overall record up to 3-16-1. As for St. Marys, they dropped their record down to 2-27 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.

Coincidentally, Sabetha and St. Marys will both be playing Hiawatha the next time they take the court. The Bluejays will head out to face the Red Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bears will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
