Baseball Recap: Madison County Comes Up Short

Madison County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 12-2 to the East Rockingham Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Mountaineers have lost by exactly ten runs.

Madison County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bodie Hurt, who went 1-for-2 with one run. That run marked the first that Hurt has scored this season.

Madison County's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for East Rockingham, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Madison County will welcome Page County at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Rockingham, they have already played their next game, a 20-5 win against Broadway on the 14th.
