Baseball Recap: Pocono Mountain East Comes Up Short

Pocono Mountain East entered their contest against East Stroudsburg South on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cardinals fell just short of the Cavaliers by a score of 6-5. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Vincent Gambino made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Triano, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Pocono Mountain East's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for East Stroudsburg South, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Pocono Mountain East has already played their next game, a 9-5 loss against Easton Area on the 4th. As for East Stroudsburg South, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-4 win against Bangor on the 3rd.
