Thoreau had won three straight home games and Colleen Moses-Perry did her part to make it four on Tuesday. The Thoreau Hawks blew past the Wingate Bears 54-33 thanks in part to Moses-Perry, who posted 25 points. Those 25 points gave her a new career-high.

Wingate lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Morning Sky Iron Moccasin, who put up eight points. Another player making a difference was Rhianna Begay, who earned seven points.

Thoreau now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Wingate, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-12.

Coincidentally, Thoreau and Wingate will both be playing Crownpoint the next time they take the court. Thoreau will head out to face Crownpoint at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Wingate will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
