Summerfield hadn't done well against Erie-Mason recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bulldogs skirted past the Eagles 1-0. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 4-1 victory two weeks ago.

Summerfield's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jude Flowers, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Flowers is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Summerfield has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Erie-Mason, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-20-1.

Coming up, Summerfield will head out on the road to face off against Lenawee Christian at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Erie-Mason does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
