Western let Hamilton Heights stack four runs on them in the first inning on Wednesday but luckily Western prevailed anyway. The Panthers walked away with an 8-4 win over the Huskies. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Western got a great performance from Miles Rudy as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over 6.1 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Brady Comer was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kyler Norman, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Western's record is now 7-1. As for Hamilton Heights, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Western and Hamilton Heights will both be playing Maconaquah the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Huskies will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
