Volleyball Recap: West Craven Comes Up Short + How To Watch

West Craven was the 3-1 winner over East Carteret when they last played one another last Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Mariners by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Craven actually scored more points across those five sets (94-93), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 9-25, 19-25, 25-17, 15-12.

Sophia Sutton paced West Craven's offense, picking up 14 kills. Sutton got some help from Seryna Gaito and her 15 assists.

West Craven's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for East Carteret, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

West Craven has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Washington on the 4th. As for East Carteret, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against New Bern on the 4th.
