Basketball Recap: Beddingfield Comes Up Short

Beddingfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Fike Demons, falling 80-33. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 76-24 two weeks ago.

Beddingfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Fike, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beddingfield will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Nash Central at 5:45 p.m. on January 8, 2025. After both having extra time off, Fike and Smithfield-Selma will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
