Baseball Recap: Antelope Wins Going Away Against Rosemont

Antelope's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Rosemont Wolverines 15-5. Considering the Titans have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Adrian Martinez and Tristan Hofferber made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Martinez tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Hofferber tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Antelope's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 4-1 (and 6-9 when he doesn't). At bat, Martinez went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Hofferber went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs Martinez has posted over his last 11 games.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaden Coates, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for Antelope: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Hodson, who went 3-for-5 with three runs and one double.

Antelope kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The victory got Antelope back to even at 10-10. As for Rosemont, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13-1 record this season.

Antelope has already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Inderkum on the 16th. As for Rosemont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-2 defeat against Laguna Creek on the 15th.
