Springfield came out on top against Rochester on Wednesday thanks in part to Karter Marks's efforts. Marks turned in nothing short of a gem, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Marks and Springfield will welcome Mt. Zion at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
