Baseball Recap: Xavier Prep Has No Trouble Against Santa Rosa Academy

Xavier Prep never let their opponents score on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Santa Rosa Academy Rangers with a sharp 14-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Saints also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2017.

Vincent Scarborough made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Vanjuan Vladimirov was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Zain Valdivia was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Xavier Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santa Rosa Academy only posted an OBP of .211.

The win made it two in a row for Xavier Prep and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Xavier Prep has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Woodcrest Christian on the 25th. As for Santa Rosa Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-1 loss against San Jacinto on the 25th.
