Soccer Game Preview: Alamo Heights vs. New Braunfels

The Alamo Heights Mules will head out to challenge the New Braunfels Unicorns at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Alamo Heights' offense. They fell 2-0 to Pieper on Tuesday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Mules haven't been shut out since back in January.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, New Braunfels' good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. Neither they nor Boerne-Champion could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result kept the Unicorns happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 14th.

Their goal came courtesy of Tanner Costanzi, who's now up to two this season.

Alamo Heights' loss dropped their record down to 5-3-3. New Braunfels' draw gives them a new season record of 6-3-3.
