Rice found a leader in Cadence Van Cleave as the team took down Dawson on Friday. Van Cleave struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. Perhaps even more impressive was her lead-up to Friday's game, in which she outscored her previous point total for three consecutive games.
