Football Recap: Northern Durham Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Northern Durham lost against Chapel Hill back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Knights were beaten by the Tigers 48-14. The Knights were down 41-8 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Although Northern Durham took the loss, they still got scores from Malcolm Bridges and Kamaree Moore.

Even if they lost, Northern Durham's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Sterling Edwards Jr. was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

Samuel Zimmermann had an outrageously good game for Chapel Hill as he rushed for 48 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 111 yards and two TDs. The dominant performance also gave Zimmermann a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Dominic Miller was another key player, rushing for 59 yards and one score.

Northern Durham's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Chapel Hill, their record now sits at 5-3.

Northern Durham didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-6 loss against Hillside on the 24th. As for Chapel Hill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 35-2 win against Riverside-Durham on the 24th.
