Baseball Game Preview: Brooks Lions vs. Wilson Warriors

For the second straight game, Brooks will face off against Wilson. Brooks will welcome Wilson at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Brooks barely beat Wilson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Brooks put the hurt on Wilson with a sharp 10-1 win on Friday. That looming 10-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Lions yet this season.

Conner Abston and Gunner Johnson were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Abston tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Johnson didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 4.1 innings pitched. At bat, Abston scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Johnson scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Slade Vandervelde, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5.

Brooks hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wilson struck out eight times.

Brooks' victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Wilson, they dropped their record down to 8-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
