Fans got a thrill when KAVAJAE ELLIS and AJAY WILLIAMS connected against Nash Central. The longest such play in 2A Conference 14 this season, the connection resulted in 91 yards.
Farmville Central extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Greene Central, 35-21. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Beddingfield's ELLIS and JAVIUS NIXON have proven to be a lethal combination. ELLIS has thrown for 1,042 yards this season, while NIXON, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 19 catches for 447 yards. Washington's Markel Spencer leads the league in rushing yards with 507.
The Bruins took down the Bulldogs 28-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. ELLIS threw for 201 yards and ran for 25 yards in the win.
