Soccer Recap: Bloomingdale Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Bloomingdale and Sunlake squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Bloomingdale had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Sunlake Seahawks by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Bulls couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Julia Grossglass, who's now up to five this season.

Bloomingdale's loss dropped their record down to 15-2. As for Sunlake, their win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-1-1.

Bloomingdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sunlake, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Steinbrenner at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few goals on average, (Sunlake: 0.5, Steinbrenner: 0.3) so any goals scored will be well earned.
