Baseball Recap: West Jessamine Find Success

West Jessamine won the last time they faced Mercer County and things went their way on Monday too. The Colts came out on top against the Titans by a score of 4-1.

West Jessamine got a great performance from Landon Davis as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Davis has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, West Jessamine's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ben Hershey, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

West Jessamine's victory bumped their record up to 9-17-1. As for Mercer County, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-12.

West Jessamine will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Titans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
