League recap: Nichols climbs in state rankings with win

Nichols moved up to 349 from 379 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 6 Freelance. A 37-16 win over Bolivar-Richburg helped the Vikings improve their standing.

Nichols took down the Wolverines 37-16 last week, the largest margin of any game. Adam Noonan ran for 155 yards in the win.

Colin Brinson's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Liam Ryan threw for 23 yards and Steve Glinski had 23 yards receiving.

Nichols' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Vikings feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ryan has thrown for 321 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Noonan has seven catches for 180 yards. Noonan leads the league in rushing with 538 yards.

The Vikings led the league in scoring this week after putting up 37 points on Bolivar-Richburg. Noonan in the win.
