Soccer Game Preview: Livonia vs. West Feliciana

Livonia and West Feliciana are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but likely not for long. The Livonia Wildcats will be playing at home against the West Feliciana Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Livonia has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while West Feliciana will arrive with five straight wins.

Last Monday, Livonia didn't have quite enough to beat Port Allen and fell 2-1. One reason for the loss might be the Wildcats' aggressive play style: Tristan Morgan and Diego Gomez were both handed yellow cards.

Livonia's goal came courtesy of Morgan, who's now up to 17 this season.

Meanwhile, West Feliciana kept a clean sheet against Franklinton on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Demons as they made off with a 5-0 victory. Considering the Saints have won seven matches by more than four goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

West Feliciana's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-8. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Livonia, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8-2.

Livonia took their victory against West Feliciana in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. Will Livonia repeat their success, or does West Feliciana have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
