Eastern Tech has gone 9-1 against Sparrows Point recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Mavericks will venture away from home to challenge the Pointers at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Eastern Tech got the win against Carver A&T by a conclusive 13-6.

Meanwhile, Sparrows Point hadn't done well against Catonsville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Pointers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Comets 16-14. The Pointers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Sparrows Point moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Eastern Tech, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Eastern Tech skirted past Sparrows Point 4-2 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mavericks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
