Softball Recap: Brookwood Broncos vs. Grovetown Warriors
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Brookwood had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Grovetown Warriors , sneaking past 2-0. This was a revenge matchup for the Broncos, as the team was forced to settle for a 4-1 defeat when these two played on Tuesday.
Grovetown's batters probably weren't too happy with Jordyn Ray, who pitched a no hitter (she gave up two walks). Ray has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Tavia Robinson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with a triple, a stolen base, and a run.
Brookwood's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-6. As for Grovetown, their loss dropped their record down to 29-6.
