Soccer Recap: Moberly Takes a Loss

Moberly managed to slip by Kirksville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Spartans came up short against the Tigers on Thursday, falling 3-0. One reason for the loss might be Moberly's aggressive play style: Lane Longbine and Cesar Banales were both handed yellow cards.

Moberly's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Kirksville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Moberly wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 5-2 win against Hannibal on the 14th. Kirksville has also already played their next matchup (against Father Tolton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
