Softball Recap: Montabella Comes Up Short

Montabella was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 14-4 to the White Cloud Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-3 on Friday.

Montabella saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Kauffman, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Kauffman has hit this season.

Montabella's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for White Cloud, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-10.

Looking ahead, Montabella will host Fulton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for White Cloud, they will head out on the road to square off against Morley Stanwood at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
