Manteno and Streator are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but not for long. The Panthers will head out to square off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Manteno will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

On Monday, Manteno narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Bishop McNamara 2-1.

Manteno had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-18, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Streator earned a 2-0 win over East Peoria on Monday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Streator easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20.

Manteno's record is now 28-4. As for Streator, their record now sits at 17-15-2.

Manteno was able to grind out a solid win over Streator in their previous matchup back in September, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
