Buena is 9-1 against Nogales since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Buena Colts will venture away from home to take on the Nogales Apaches at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Buena's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.

On Tuesday, Buena blew past Flowing Wells, posting a 73-23 win. Given the Colts' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Caballeros are ranked 266th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Nogales played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt an 85-56 loss at the hands of Cienega. The defeat continues a trend for the Apaches in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Buena's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for Nogales, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Buena beat Nogales 60-50 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Buena since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
