Agawam had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Chicopee Comp Colts with a sharp 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Brownies: when they faced off against the Colts on April 4th, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

While Agawam won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14, 25-16.

Chase Gerani paced Agawam's offense, picking up 11 kills. Gerani got some help from David Dzhenzherukha and his 29 assists. Dzhenzherukha was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Agawam's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. As for Chicopee Comp, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Agawam is set to challenge their familiar foe Ludlow at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Chicopee Comp will face off against rival Minnechaug Regional at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
