Football Game Preview: West Greene Buffaloes vs. Oneida Indians + Official Tickets

The West Greene Buffaloes will head out to face off against the Oneida Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Greene will be strutting in after a victory while Oneida will be coming in after a defeat.

West Greene took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 34-6 win over Cumberland Gap. Considering the Buffaloes' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Shawn Bailey was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 80 yards and two TDs on only eight carries. Those 80 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something West Greene proved: they limited Cumberland Gap to a paltry 2.3 yards per carry. The Buffaloes didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.2.

Meanwhile, Oneida had to suffer through a 40-7 loss at the hands of Eagleton College & Career Academy.

West Greene's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Oneida, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-5.
