Softball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Escondido Charter's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Escondido Charter unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Pasqual Golden Eagles. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Golden Eagles from their previous meeting back in March of 2022.

Zaliyah Jones made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Escondido Charter's loss dropped their record down to 14-3. As for San Pasqual, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Escondido Charter will square off against Mission Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for San Pasqual, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mission Hills at 3:30 p.m. on the 16th.
