After a string of four wins, Smith-Cotton's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They had to suffer through a 77-47 loss at the hands of the West Plains Zizzers.

Gillian Green was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds for West Plains. The dominant performance also gave Green a new career-high in assists (seven). Another player making a difference was Shaylee Peterson, who went 7 of 12 en route to 16 points and five boards.

Smith-Cotton's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for West Plains, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Parkview the next time they take the court. Smith-Cotton will host Parkview on Tuesday, while West Plains will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
